Bear Cub with Salmon Head, Taylor Creek, Lake Tahoe

Soaked by rain and his efforts to catch salmon in the creek, this one year old black bear retreated to a safe perch on a log with a bit of salmon he stole from his mother. He learns by watching her fish and imitating her efforts. Next year he will be feeding himself, while still under the watchful eye of his mother.
