Cloud River, Muldrow Glacier, denali

Denali National Park is an amazing place. While the peak primarily resides in the clouds, the vast landscape below is intriguing. This image shows cloud both below and above the mountains. The foreground of Fall colored tundra butts up against the unique feature of the Muldrow Glacier. The green band between the red and yellow tundra and the "cloud river" is actually a glacier living below a layer of moss and ground cover. it is wise not to walk there, as crevasses are covered by a matt of moss, invisible to the eye. One wrong step, and you disappear. i like the view from here.
