Icebergs in Fog Panorama, Jokusarlon, Iceland

The ice lagoon in Jokusarlon, Iceland has become a famous location for photographers. This large glacial lake has a continuos flow of icebergs passing through as they are calved from the glacier to the north and exit through the river to the south that feeds into the ocean just a quarter mile away. On this mystical foggy morning I had the lagoon to myself. The sense of calm was palpable. I took my time looking for a composition, and settled on this massive iceberg. As this giant iceberg rested in the shallow water, isolated in the fog, its reflection took on greater meaning. I felt a connection, as my work, "The Fine Art of Nature", is a reflection of my existence as both an artist and lover of the natural world. These calm moments add strength to my work and my life. They are the essence of what I do. I hope you find your own meaning in my images.
