Raccoons in Pine Tree, Winter, Lake Tahoe

I don't often see raccoons here in Tahoe, especially during the day. I followed these little guys after I saw them near the side of the road. Fortunately, they decided to climb a tree, which gave me the opportunity capture this image. I love how beautiful they are, looking directly at the camera, blending beautifully with the pine bark and contrasting with the snow. What characters.
