Praying Bear, Lake Tahoe

As I ventured out intending to capture a sunrise image, I happened upon this large male black bear and his mate. Change of plans. I spent the next 3 1/2 hours following this couple, observed them mating, and sat next to them as they slept for half an hour. As the female wandered off, this big boy stretched out, scratched, and leaned over this log. Amazingly, he settled in a pose that made him appear as though he was praying. I quickly moved about 30 feet to my left to emphasize the humanlike pose and was able to capture a couple of frames before he set off into the woods. This image makes everyone smile!
