Steaming Trees, Light Rays & Reflections Black and White
In the spring, when rain falls in the mountains, the trees become saturated with water. After several days, the bark and needles are drenched and the temperature remains cold. If the storm breaks at night and the skies clear, amazing things happen in the morning. As the sun peaks over the mountain tops, the warm rays hit the trees warming them quickly. The water saturating the bark and needles, as well as the meadow grass, changes form. Frost becomes steam. The rays of light filter through the steam turning the world into a fantasy land. This image depicts that dreamlike morning, as light comes to life and dances in the forest.
